That’s the situation presented to Dominick Blaylock of Dickerson Middle School, reports the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The AJC reports that Steve Spurrier, head coach of the University of South Carolina’s football team, presented the eighth-grader with a scholarship at a“Junior Day” event on campus held over the weekend.

Blaylock, whose father is former Atlanta Hawks star Mookie Blaylock, has been invited to four other Junior Days at campuses across the southeast and could receive more offers as his Walton High School debut approaches, Blaylock’s stepfather told the AJC.
The 14-year-old is 5’11, weighs approximately 165 lbs. and has a 40-yard-dash time of 4.6 seconds, the AJC reports.
