Woman Sought In Bank Heists In East Cobb, 5 Other Areas

The FBI along with Marietta and Sandy Springs police are looking for a woman bank robber. She also hit a bank in Tennessee, cops say.

MARIETTA, GA -- Multiple metro Atlanta law enforcement agencies, along with the Federal Bureau of Investigation is asking for the public's help in finding a woman bank robber who is believed to have held up six banks in metro Atlanta.

David J. LeValley, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI Atlanta Field Office, and the Marietta and Sandy Springs police departments are searching for the woman seen on a security camera in two recent area bank robberies. She is believed to have also robbed a bank in Tennessee, authorities said.

"The FBI Atlanta Field office has gathered all the information from theses robberies and has determined the suspect to be the same person. She is wanted for at least 4 bank robberies and 2 attempts," Greater Atlanta Crime Stoppers said in a Facebook post.

The first incident occurred on June 16 at Wells Fargo Bank in the 600 block of Roswell Street in East Cobb, authorities said. She got away with an undisclosed amount of money, the FBI said in a news release.

Then two weeks ago, the woman entered the PNC Bank in the 5600 block of Roswell Road in Sandy Springs and gave the teller a demand note and announced a robbery as she did the previous week. Again, the woman left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.

Law enforcement officials are releasing photographs taken from security video in the hopes that someone may recognize the woman.

The perpetrator is described as a black female, 25 to 35 years of age, with a slender to medium build.
