425 Animals Find Homes During Shelter's Adoption Explosion
Next event is the Pet Revolution Oct. 12 featuring family-friendly activities, motorcycle ride, and 5K run.

The second annual Adoption Explosion at the Gwinnett County Animal Welfare and Enforcement Center resulted in the adoption of 425 animals, according to final figures.
The month-long event June 29-July 28 concluded with a block party July 27 attended by more than 1,800 people. The party featured children’s activities and a Cars for Critters show.
A cookout and a bake sale during the party raised more than $1,100 for the Society of Humane Friends, which runs the spay/neuter clinic at the shelter.
