GCPS 2013 Tapestry Exhibit Displays Student Art in March

When Gwinnett County citizens visit the school district’s Instructional Support Center (ISC) in March they may feel as if they just walked into the Ufizzi of Venice, the Guggenheim of Bilbao, the Louvre of Paris, or even the High Museum in Atlanta as thousands of pieces of student artwork will be on exhibit as part of the 2013 Tapestry Display.

This annual Gwinnet County Public Schools celebration of the arts takes place during Youth Art Month at the school system’s headquarters at 437 Old Peachtree Rd. NW, in Suwanee.

Entering into the ISC’s lobby area, visitors will be transported to a student art show beyond compare. They will witness the results of great teaching and learning firsthand as classroom lessons come to life through paintings, drawings, three-dimensional art, mixed media, pottery, jewelry, and two-dimensional art.
