Gwinnett Office Space Deal in Question
A state official and real estate broker apparently exchanged information about the deal -- before it was awarded.

A state official and a real estate broker exchanged information about a curious Gwinnett County deal worth as much as $25 million, according to the AJC.
Email exchanges obtained by the newspaper appear to indicate that former state leasing manager Thad Jackson and broker Steve Tedder discussed a long-term lease for office space for the Division of Family and Children Services.
A Gwinnett County company represented by Tedder, submitted the winning bid -- after receiving information about other bids. However, the AJC reported that it was unclear how much influence Jackson had in awarding the contract.
