
1. The Duluth City Council meets Monday night for a mini strategic work session to discuss city issues including a request for additional funding from the Downtown Development Authority to design the Red Clay expansion and discuss how to fund it. The work session will be held in the basement of Red Clay at 5:30 p.m.
2. School buses will be rolling throughout the county starting Wednesday, July 31. Buses will be driving practice routes through August 6, one day before school starts.
3. The final Brown Bag Concert of the summer will take place Friday, August 2 at the Historic Courthouse in downtown Lawrenceville. The fun family event starts at 11am and features Scott Douglas Steel Drums.
4. Gwinnett County's Fire and Emergency Services recruit graduation will take place Friday at 4pm at the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center.
5. Gwinnett County plans to mail tax bills by Saturday. Tax payments are due Oct. 3.Â
