Know Your Status? Get the Facts on National HIV Testing Day June 27

National HIV Testing Day is June 27.

Some 1.1 million people are living with HIV, and about one in five don't know they are infected, the CDC reports. That's what makes National HIV Testing Day important.

This week, and especially on June 27, health departments, nonprofits and businesses across America will be holding HIV testing. Many of the tests are free.

As in previous years, Walgreens is again partnering with Greater Than AIDS. Many stores -- 175 across the country -- will be offering testing June 27-29.
