Leadership Gwinnett Sets 2014 Class, Ambitious Goals for Program
More than 40 people from the Gwinnett County community were selected for the 2014 class.
Leadership Gwinnett has a new class of participants, as it gets rolling on a long-term goal to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for the organization.
Last week, a total of 42 new participants were chosen for the 2014 class. Their selection was based on work experience, accomplishments, community involvement and education, among other things.
Those selected includes: Doug Ireland, a Suwanee council member; Mike Mason, mayor of Peachtree Corners; and Jay Nebel, Gwinnett County's 2013 Teacher of the Year. For the full list of participants, see the attached document.

In addition to selecting its 2014 class, Leadership Gwinnett also recently disclosed a goal to raise $600,000 over the next five years in a campaign entitled "Key to a Better Gwinnett," as reported in the Gwinnett Daily Post.
The fundraising is part of a new community-supported strategic plan, and a kickoff meeting is planned for June 19 in Duluth.Â
