Wedding at Home Plate a First at Coolray Field

Coolray Field recently played host to one happy couple's May wedding.

According to The Marietta Daily Journal, Michael Butts and his bride, Rachel Baker, were the first to marry at Coolray Field in Lawrenceville.

The wedding party wore Braves blue, groomsmen wore sneakers and the couple married at home plate, according to the news report.

Both the bride and the groom’s parents have ties to Marietta. The groom's parents now live in Dacula, which is also he graduated from high school, according to an engagement announcement by Celebrations Moultrie.

The Butts' wedding took place May 17.
