New Year's 2019: What's Open, Closed In Gwinnett

Here's the New Year's schedule for Gwinnett County government offices and trash and recycling collection for county residents.

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA — The Gwinnett County government announced Monday that all offices will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 1, with the exception of those operations required for the comfort and safety of residents. County offices will reopen f0r normal business hours on Wednesday, Jan. 2.

A Magistrate Court judge will be available at the county jail on New Year's Day.

Trash and recycling collection in unincorporated areas of Gwinnett County will be delayed by one day, starting Tuesday through Friday, Jan. 4.

Residents who live within city limits should contact their trash and recycling provider to find out if collection will be delayed due to the New Year's holiday.
