Norcross Smartphone Thieves At Large: Police

The Gwinnett County police have released surveillance images of a pair of young men who stole an iPhone last week from a Norcross store.

NORCROSS, GA — The Gwinnett County Police Department is asking the public for tips to track down a pair of young men who stole a smartphone last week from a local store. The theft took place shortly before noon Thursday, Dec. 27, at M Wireless, at 1210 Rockbridge Road in unincorporated Norcross, according to a police report.

A surveillance camera captured images of the two individuals entering the store. One of them asked to look at new Apple iPhones. An employee showed them two of the smartphones, and one of the young men grabbed an iPhone and turned to leave while trying to grab the second phone, the police report said.

The employee grabbed the second iPhone before the two young men could take it, the report added. The pair ran out of the store and jumped into a white Toyota Avalon that was waiting for them. The car quickly fled the scene.
