Police Make Arrest In Deadly Thursday Shooting In Gwinnett

Police said the victim was doing his job as a pest control worker when he was shot.

GWINNETT, GA — A 26-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection to a Thursday shooting that left one man dead in Gwinnett.

The shooting happened just after 10 a.m. at an apartment building in the 800 block of Walther Boulevard, police said. When officers arrived, the victim, 23-year-old Bradley Jordan, was found lying dead at the bottom of a stairwell with a gunshot wound.

Police said Jordan was at the apartments for his job as a pest control worker when he was approached by the suspect, 26-year-old Roceam Wilson.

According to police, Roceam is accused of shooting Jordan, although no motive has been identified.

Roceam was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, felony murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

The Georgia Gwinnett Campus went on temporary lockdown on Thursday after the shooting. A notice from the campus alerted students and staff to lock and barricade doors.

A police dog searched the area, and the lockdown was lifted, authorities said. It's unclear if Roceam was arrested at the apartments or at a later time.
