Snellville Woman Indicted for Role in Scheme to Steal $1.7 Million in Donation Checks

The money was supposed to be used by the Atlanta chapter of the Mouth and Foot Painting Artists.

A Snellville woman is one of six people indicted in connection with a scheme to steal $1.7 million from an organization that works with artists who paint with their mouths and feet.

Snellville resident Christina Kelly is accused of re-routing donation checks meant for disabled artists to a bank account she opened, Chamblee Police Department Sgt. Ernesto Ford told ABC News.

Officials say Kelly and the other five defendants used the money for their own personal use from 2005-2011. And, on May 23 the indictment was filed in DeKalb County Superior Court, ABC News reported.
