Braves Purchase Land Adjacent to SunTrust Park
The property will be used to provide additional parking and transportation options to fans coming to the Cobb County ballpark.

The Atlanta Braves have secured an additional 9.5 acres of land in Smyrna adjacent to the site of SunTrust Park, the new Braves stadium slated for a 2017 opening.
According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the Braves have purchased the headquarters of Genuine Parts Company, located at 2999 Circle 75 Parkway in the Cumberland area. Genuine Parts Company is consolidating its operations in the Wildwood area, and plans to build a new headquarters there, the AJC says.

The newly-acquired land will likely be used to bolster SunTrust Park’s parking and transportation facilities, the AJC reports.
