3rd Repeat Violations at Golf Club: Restaurant Inspections November 19

IHOP on Scenic Highway was also inspected.

Violations: 4-2B, Violation of Code: [.05(7)(c) ] Microwave oven unclean inside with old food debris on sides and top of interior. Microwave was cleaned during inspection. All food contact surfaces must be kept clean to sight and touch.  Corrected On-Site.  New Violation. 4-2B, Violation of Code: [.05(7)(b) ] Counter in kitchen needs to be cleaned more frequently to remove old food debris/dust/dirt, etc. Counter cleaned during inspection. Must keep all food contact surfaces clean to sight and touch.  Corrected On-Site.  New Violation. 15A, Violation of Code: [.05(1)(a) ] Shelves in the linen/equipment storage area and one shelf in the kitchen (coffee pot area) were not washable/easily cleanable/non-absorbant. Shelves were made out of particle board. Please paint these shelves with washable paint. These non-food contact surfaces must be washable/non-absorbant/easily cleanable. This is the 3rd repeat of this violation from inspections on 11/20/13 and 4/12/13. Permit may be suspended due to 3 or more repeats of a code violation. Please paint the shelves.  Repeat Violation. 15B, Violation of Code: [.05(3)(h),(i) ] Test strips not available to test the sanitizer for wiping cloth buckets or 3 compartment sinks. This is a repeat violation from last inspection on 4/12/13. Please obtain chlorine test strips to test sanitizer level. Must have test strips available on-site to test sanitizer level. Permit can be suspended on 3rd repeat of violations of the same code provison.  Repeat Violation. 15B, Violation of Code: [.05(6)(j) ] Dishwasher not reaching adequate wash temp of 150 degrees for a For a stationary rack, dual temperature machine, 150ºF (66ºC). Dishwasher was tested 4 times and temperature never got above 104 degrees. DO NOT USE DISHWASHER UNTIL REPAIRED. Wash, rinse and sanitize at the manual dishwash sink until repaired. Please repair machine ASAP. Dish machine must reach adequate wash temperature to adequately wash dishes.  New Violation. 15B, 290-5-14-.05 (l) Mechanical Warewashing Equipment, Hot Water Sanitization Temperatures.
Dishwasher not reaching adequate final temp of 180 degrees. Dishwasher was tested 4 times and temperature never got above 104 degrees. DO NOT USE DISHWASHER UNTIL REPAIRED. Wash, rinse and sanitize at the manual dishwash sink until repaired. Please repair machine ASAP. Dish machine must reach adequate final rinse temperature to adequately sanitize dishes.  New Violation. 16B, Violation of Code: [.06(2)(p),(q) ] Water is backing up in the fruit and vegetable sink when the dishwasher is turned on. Fruit and vegetable sink had an appropriate air gap but there seems to be some other plumbing cross connection that is causing the backup into the sink. This can cause contamination of fruits and vegetables. Please repair this plumbing issue. Plumbing system must be configured as not to cause a cross connection.  New Violation. 17C, Violation of Code: [.07(5)(a),(b) ] Floors, walls, and/or ceilings not constructed and/or installed so that they are easily cleanable. Walls need to be re-painted where paint has come off or damaged. Wood under 3 compartment sink needs to be painted with washable paint. Outlet holes in kitchen wall need to be covered/repaired. Cabinets/drawers/counters needs to be repaired. Laminate is peeling up. Counters need to be caulked where the wall meets the counter. 
Must keep the physical facility in good repair.  New Violation.  17D, Violation of Code: [.07(2)(i) ] Light shield hanging down and not covering light bulbs in the kitchen. Please repair the light shield. Light bulbs must have protective shielding.  New Violation. 18, Violation of Code: [.07(2)(m) ] Self closer required on back kitchen door. There is a self closer in place, but it is not working properly. Please repair door. Door must self-close and self-latch.  New Violation.

Violations: 10D, Violation of Code: [.04(3)(k) ] Oysters observed stored in plastic bin. Oysters are received in box. All shellfish must remain in original package until service.  New Violation. 12C, Violation of Code: [.04(4)(m) ] Several wet wiping cloths observed on counter while not in use. Wet wiping cloths must be stored in sanitizer in between use. Cloths were moved to bucket.
Chlorine sanitizer observed at inadequate concentration. Chlorine sanitizer must be maintained at 50-100ppm. Buckets were changed to be in compliance. Corrected On-Site.  Repeat Violation.

Violations: 6-1B, Violation of Code: [.04(6)(f) ] Sausage hot-holding on stove was below 135oF. Items were discarded. All potentially hazardous foods hot-holding must be at/above 135oF. Note:Sausage was placed under time control.  Corrected On-Site.  New Violation. 6-1D, Violation of Code: [.04(6)(i) ] Pancake batter did not have label with start time/discard time on container. Item was discarded. A new batch of batter was placed under time control but the start time was incorrect (labeled start time as 11:27am when start time was 10:26am). The time was updated to correct time. All potentially hazardous foods under time as a public health control must be labeled with correct start time and discard time.  Corrected On-Site.  New Violation.
