With less than six weeks before its fall semester application deadline, Georgia Gwinnett College is waiving its $20 application fee to encourage students to get started early on necessary paperwork.
“The May 1 application deadline for fall semester is less than six weeks away,” said Tee Mitchell, director of Admissions. “Because of the requirement to provide certain documentation, such as high school transcripts and Compass/ACT/SAT scores, there are a lot of steps involved in completing the application process. We are offering another application fee-free incentive to encourage students to get started early so they are not caught up in a last-minute rush.”
A previous application fee-free weekend successfully resulted in an increase of application submissions. Mitchell said he hoped the additional incentive will spur remaining students to get started on their applications now.
