Gwinnett Animal Shelter Holding Pet Food Drive for Oklahoma Tornado Victims

The Gwinnett County Police Animal & Welfare Enforcement Unit will be conducting a pet food and pet supply drive for the City of Moore, Oklahoma Animal Shelter.

In an effort to keep families together that are victims of the recent tornados in the Oklahoma area, Gwinnett County Police Animal Welfare & Enforcement Unit is doing a pet food and pet supply drive to be shipped to the only functioning animal shelter in Moore, Oklahoma.  The doors of the City of Moore Animal Shelter have been flooded with displaced animals since the tornados.  While they are striving to find the owners, they need assistance to feed the animals while they have them.  There are many pet owners that have also lost everything and find themselves in a situation where they cannot feed their pets.

Please consider making a food or supply donation to help all of the friends we have in Moore, Oklahoma, they desperately need it.  Any donations of food or pet supplies will be received from Friday 05/24/13 through Tuesday 05/28/13 at the Gwinnett County Animal Shelter located at 884 Winder Highway Lawrenceville, Georgia  30045.  The hours each day will be from 8:00am to 4:00pm.   Even though this is a holiday weekend, Gwinnett County Animal Welfare employees will be on site to accept donations.  The phone number to the shelter is (770) 339-3200.
