Aurora Theatre Rings In Holiday Season With November Programs
Theatergoers of all ages are invited to Lawrenceville for Latin nights, children's shows, gift giving and more!

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA – The most wonderful time of the year is almost here, and theatergoers are invited to get festive this November with fun, fall events at Aurora Theatre! Guests are welcome to find their inner rhythm during a night filled with music and dancing at Teatro Aurora’s Club Babalú: Duòs and donate to the less fortunate during The Festival of Trees throughout the holiday season! Aspiring young actors itching for the limelight will enjoy the variety of holiday classes at Aurora Theatre Academy and all guests can celebrate on the mainstage with the 23rd smash year of Christmas Canteen 2018 and Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol on the studio stage. New this year, audiences can get in the feel-good spirit with Aurora Theatre’s own rendition of This Wonderful Life! With an excellent variety of entertaining events at Aurora Theatre this month, there’s something for everyone to enjoy!

Friday and Saturday, November 2 and 38 p.m.

Enjoy stunning sounds from some of the most popular Latin artists including Pimpinela, Marc Anthony and La India as Club Babalú presents an evening of Latin Duets! Powerhouse Lilliangina Quiñones and Aurora’s own Juan Carlos Unzueta, one of Atlanta’s favorite tenors, will also be making special performances. After a quick snack, stick around for salsa dancing led by Frankie Quiñones and the ATL Salsa All-Stars, a collection of some of the best Latin musicians in the metro Atlanta area.

Aurora Theatre Academy Holiday Shows
As Gwinnett County’s only professional theater, Aurora provides an excellent opportunity for young actors to study the performing arts in a professional setting with top instructors who boast years of theatrical experience. In addition to perfecting their technical skills, students will also build self-confidence, communication and life skills. Classes are reasonably priced at $250 for a four-week session. Young thespians will enjoy the chance to create a character, build real performance skills and work as a team in this tale of a Christmas gone wrong! Participants should plan for a thrilling and educational experience, sure to build both technique and holiday cheer.
The Festival of Trees

Aurora will once again spread the goodwill of the season by hosting The Festival of Trees in support of both the United States Marine Corps Toys for Tots drive and local food banks. From delicate to dramatic, the Festival of Trees will deck the halls of Aurora Theatre with nearly 30 trees decorated by local businesses. To vote on the “best dressed” tree, visitors can place a new unwrapped toy and/or a non-perishable food item underneath to help guarantee that everyone has a wonderful holiday season: the tree with the most donations will be declared the Best of the Fest!
