
The first of three public hearings on newly proposed Gwinnett County tax rates will be held Tuesday, June 25.
The public hearing takes place at 6 p.m. at the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center's auditorium located at 75 Langley Drive in Lawrenceville.
Additional public hearings will take place June 2 at 3:30 p.m. and July 9 at 6:30 p.m.Â
Besides attending the sessions, the public may also submit their questions or concerns online.Â

>> Most incorporated cities -- Berkeley Lake, Buford, Dacula, Grayson, Peachtree Corners, Rest Haven and Sugar Hill -- will have slight increases: a .37 increase of the tax rate. (These locations do not have their own police force.)
>> Other cities -- Auburn, Braselton, Duluth, Lawrenceville, Lilburn, Loganville, Norcross and Snellville -- will have decreases in their tax rates. (The cities have their own police force.)

- Most residents with a $157,000 will pay $65 less under proposed rates; Loganville residents would pay $234 less, the AJC reported.
In unincorporated Gwinnett County, there will be a slight increase in the tax rate.
