Georgia Parole Board to Meet with Crime Victims

The special Victim's Visitor's Day is July 11.

The State Board of Pardons and Paroles will host a special Victims Visitors’ Day this week in Lawrenceville.

The event takes place 9 a.m., July 11 at the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center, 75 Langley Drive.

It is meant to give crime victims a chance to discuss their cases and parole status of offenders. The day is organized in collaboration with the Gwinnett County Victim Witness Assistance Program.

"As board members, we find these events extremely valuable because we’re able to assist Georgia crime victims, who never asked to become a part of the criminal justice system," said Board Chairman Albert Murray in a press release. "We look forward to this opportunity to hear information about these cases that we may not have."

For more information, contact the parole board at 1-800-593-9474. Although reservations were asked to be in by July 5, there may still be room for additional appointments.
