Here's the latest look at weather in metro Atlanta on Monday, when we'll experience a near-total solar eclipse starting at 2:34 p.m.

ATLANTA, GA — Good news for folks planning to head outside Monday afternoon to watch the solar eclipse in metro Atlanta — the chance for rain has dropped in the most recent forecast.
The National Weather Service is calling for sunny skies throughout most of the day on Monday. There's just a 10 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms, and even that isn't expected to roll into the area until around 5 p.m.
It might be hot, though, when the near-total solar eclipse starts around Atlanta at 2:34 p.m. Monday's high, according to the NWS, will be 91 degrees.

Monday (Eclipse Day): A 10 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 5 p.m. Sunny, with a high near 91 and heat index values as high as 97. Monday night, a 10 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 7 p.m. Partly cloudy, with a low around 73.
Tuesday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 91. A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms Tuesday night. Partly cloudy, with a low around 74.
Wednesday: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 89. Wednesday night, a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 72.
Thursday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 87. A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms Thursday night. Partly cloudy, with a low around 69.
Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 85. Mostly clear Friday night, with a low around 69.
