Gwinnett Stripers To Host Peanut-Free Game
The Gwinnett Stripers will host a peanut-free game so fans with peanut allergies can enjoy America's favorite pastime with less concern.

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA — The Gwinnett Stripers will host a peanut-free game, as part of a series of 45 peanut-free games across the country this season, sponsored by AUVI-Q, so fans with peanut allergies can enjoy America’s favorite pastime with less concern. The game will be May 27.
For many kids – and adults, for that matter -- a visit to the ballpark is off-limits. Eating – or even being near – peanuts can be dangerous to people with life threatening food allergies. These games help those with life-threatening peanut allergies enjoy our national pastime in a safer environment.
The May 27 game will feature no in-park sales of peanuts or products containing peanut ingredients. Last year, Minor League Baseball and AUVI-Q (epinephrine injection, USP) announced a multi-year agreement, making AUVI-Q the “Official Epinephrine Auto-Injector (EAI) of Minor League Baseball.” AUVI-Q is an FDA approved prescription medicine used to treat life-threatening allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis, in people who are at risk for or have a history of serious allergic reactions. AUVI-Q features industry-firsts such as a voice instruction system that helps guide users and caregivers step-by-step through the injection process, as well as a needle that automatically retracts following administration. AUVI-Q is for immediate self (or caregiver) administration and does not take the place of emergency medical care. Seek immediate medical treatment after using AUVI-Q.
