Jamaican Restaurant Scores a U: Restaurant Inspections September 9

Jamaica Breeze will be re-inspected in another three to ten days. A new Burger King at Sugarloaf Mills was also inspected.

Violations: 6-1A, Violation of Code: [.04(6)(f) ] Green salads with cheese, blue cheese crumbles, sliced tomatoes, cheddar cheese, and raw beef patties. Cold-held potentially hazardous foods must be maintained below 41F. The employee decided to discard the foods except the tomatoes and beef patties that were holding for 20 minutes.  Corrected On-Site.  Repeat Violation. 14D, Violation of Code: [.04(4)(n) ] Employee donning two pairs of gloves to handle raw chicken breast then removed a pair to handle the lid for cooked chicken breast. Single use gloves must be worn a pair at a time. The employee decided to discard the foods.
