Man Accused Of Touching Teen Girl Inappropriately

Police say they've arrested a man they say is responsible for inappropriately touching a 13-year-old girl at a Lawrenceville store.

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA — Authorities have arrested a man they accuse of inappropriately touching a 13-year-old girl. The Gwinnett County Police Department says the girl was in a Lawrenceville clothing store with her mother when a man committed the crime.

According to a release from the department, the girl was at Burlington Coat Factory with her mother around 6 p.m. on New Year's Day, kneeling down looking at clothing when the man, pictured below, "rubbed his private area against her."

He tried to talk to her, the release says, asking her age.

The girl, thinking quickly, took a photo of the man with her cellphone camera. Police sent out a call for the public to help identify the man, but did not release a clear version of the photo due to the nature of the charges.

The man was described as being about 5-foot-6 with dark hair. He was wearing a dark blue windbreaker with white stripes and gray lining.
