Bullet-Riddled Body ID'd, 3 At Large After Days Inn Murder: Cops

A bullet-riddled body has been identified and 3 people are at large in Gwinnett County after a Tuesday morning murder, police say.

SNELLVILLE, GA — A bullet-riddled body has been identified and three people are at large in Gwinnett County after a Tuesday morning murder, police say. The victim of an early Tuesday morning murder at the Days Inn in Stone Mountain has been identified as a Snellville resident, according to the Gwinnett County Police Department.

Ronald Horton Jr., 28, was found by responding officers who attempted to render aid. Horton, however, was deceased from an apparent gunshot wound, police report. Horton was staying at the Days Inn, on Glenn Club Drive in unincorporated Stone Mountain, when, detectives believe, that three people forced entry into the room, fired shots and then fled the scene on foot. The area was searched with the assistance of K-9 officers but the people were not located. Marijuana and cash were located at the scene. The investigation is active and ongoing.
