Trials, Tribulations, and Trust in the Lord

At times of trouble, like the current pandemic, some people face a state of extreme fear and become so engulfed in grief that they even deny the existence of God. Many start complaining when they are faced with a difficulty that is as if they break their relationship with God. Some start moaning and cursing and some become defective in their faith. At this time of tribulation, patience becomes fundamental which can be achieved by abandoning all that we could rely on and adopting only the dependency on God, and bringing our pleasure in line with the pleasure of God.

Man’s pleasure and God's pleasure should become one. God, however, is not cruel but Merciful. He does not make a human being suffer so that he should move away from religion. On the contrary, the tribulation is there so that he may move forward. Life on this earth is very brief indeed and for man the eternal world is the hereafter. The troubles of this world end with death but there is no end to the other life. One should make an effort for the afterlife which is eternal. What 'provisions' can a person gather (for the eternal world) if he does not face any hardship in this world? These provisions can be achieved by building a strong relationship with the Creator and His creation.
