Wendy's Temporarily Shut Down, Permit Suspended: Restaurant Inspections September 23

The fast food restaurant was shut down after being cited for the same violation for a third time.

Violations: 2-2D, Violation of Code: [.06(2)(o) ] Pitcher was filled with water stored in hand sink located in back of kitchen. Hand sink are for washing hands only, hand sink can not be used to fill pitcher or rinse utensils. Pitcher of water was moved out of sink during inspection.  Corrected On-Site.  New Violation. 12B, Violation of Code: [.03(5)(g) ] Observed employee working with cheese wearing a watch. The only the jewelry that can be worn while working with food is a plain ring. Employee removed watch.  Corrected On-Site.  New Violation.

Violations: 2-2D, Violation of Code: [.06(2)(o) ] Hand sink located near the drive thru window was being used as a dump sink. Hand sinks are for hand washing on only and need to be accessible at all times. Ice was removed from the hand sink. This the third repeat of this violation.  Corrected On-Site.  Repeat Violation. 6-1D, Violation of Code: [.04(6)(i) ] Yellow cheese on time control was not labeled with the time that it was take off temperature and the time that it is to be discarded in accordance with facilities written procedure(facility has 8 hr variance from the state). Facilities using time control must label all foods on time control with the time that food item is taken off temperature control(in time) and the time that food item is to be discarded(out time). Cheese was labeled with correctly as it had just been taken off temperature.  Corrected On-Site.  New Violation. 17B, Violation of Code: [.06(5)(n) ] Lid on dumpster completely missing. Trash receptacles need to covered to prevent pests and rodents from entering. Please replace lids ASAP.  New Violation.
