Accused Shooter In Lilburn Parking Lot Arrested: Police
Police were initially told it was a road rage shooting, but later learned it happened during a robbery attempt, police say.
LILBURN, GA — Authorities have made a fourth arrest in the deadly shooting of two people, according to the Gwinnett County Police Department. Enmanuel Antigua Paulino, 20, of Lilburn, was identified as the shooter, the department said.
The Tuesday, Nov. 12 shooting in Gwinnett County off of I-85 was the result of a botched robbery and not a road rage incident, as the men involved initially claimed, according to a release from the Gwinnett County Police Department.
Police say that a vehicle with five people inside — Harry Richardson, 20; Anthoney Esquero, 18; Kevin Gallardo, 17; Erik Vargas, 20; and Junio Lanuza-Gutierrez, 16 — was in the parking lot of 950 Indian Trail Rd. meeting Paulino over a sale of a cellphone, police say.

Paulino shot at the car, which then drove off, police say. Gutierrez and Vargas were shot. Police said they believe the shooting was not a self defense shooting.

According to the release, police got a call around 10:30 p.m. about a person shot near 700 Indian Trail Liburn Rd. Police found the car and two of the five men had been shot.
Gutierrez died from his injuries Tuesday, Nov. 12. Vargas died on Thursday, Nov. 14.
Richardson, Esquero and Gallardo were charged with robbery and felony murder.
Paulino was later charged with two counts of murder and two counts of aggravated assault.
