Hairs Found at McDonald's Ice Cream Station: Restaurant Inspections October 8

A Dominican restaurant on Pleasant Hill Road was also reinspected.

Violations: 2-1B, Violation of Code: [.03(5)(c) ] Employee cleaned grill with sanitizing wipe and then touched wax paper to put freshly cooked sausage on. This employee corrected this by washing her hands and another employee transferred sausage to clean paper. Employees must wash hands in between each task to prevent contamination.  Corrected On-Site.  New Violation. 12B, Violation of Code: [.03(5)(i) ] Hairs were found at ice cream station and on spoons at drive-thru station. Ensure employees are properly restraining hair. Hair restraints such as hair nets or hats must be worn at all times to prevent contamination by hair.  New Violation. 18, Violation of Code: [.07(2)(m) ] The drive-thru windows did not have self-closure devices. Add self-closures to windows. All outer opening must be protected from the entrance of insects, pests, and rodents.  New Violation.

Bathrooms used by women must have a covered trash can.  New Violation.
