Lilburn Woman Shot, Killed At Five Forks Trickum Road Area
A 25-year-old woman was shot and killed Tuesday morning in the area of Five Forks Trickum Road and Rockbridge Road in Stone Mountain.

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — A 25-year-old Lilburn woman was shot and killed Tuesday morning in the area of Five Forks Trickum Road and Rockbridge Road in Stone Mountain, according to Gwinnett County police.
The victim was identified as Avery Birthrong. She was shot and killed while in a vehicle with two men. The driver drove away from the scene after the shooting and stopped at a gas station at the intersection of Hugh Howell Road and Lilburn Stone Mountain Road and called police.
DeKalb Police responded at approximately 4:20 a.m. and contacted Gwinnett Police when it was discovered where the shooting occurred. Police are speaking to witnesses to determine the cause of this incident. The driver of the vehicle the victim was in is cooperating with detectives.

Gwinnett Police responded to a person shot call this morning shortly before 5 a.m., meeting with DeKalb Police at the intersection of Hugh Howell Road and Lilburn Stone Mountain Road. The initial investigation revealed that the shooting originally occurred in the area of Five Forks Trickum Road and Rockbridge Road.
