Major Step Taken in Development of J.B. Williams Park

The Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners awarded a contract to a Norcross design company to create plans for the future J.B. Williams Park in Lilburn.

Pond & Company, Inc. will develop construction documents for the 26-acre park to be built on Five Forks Trickum Road.

Money for the $171,000 contract will come from the 2009 SPLOST program. 

A citizen's steering committee and county staff worked together over the past year to develop a master plan for the park. Amenities will include a lighted baseball field, pavilion/playground complex, youth activity area, dog park and more. The construction of the baseball field will allow for future development of a multi-purpose field at nearby Mountain Park Park.
