Man Arrested In Woman's Murder Case At Five Forks Trickum Road

An arrest has been made in the case of a 25-year-old Lilburn woman who was shot and killed Tuesday morning in Stone Mountain.

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — An arrest has been made in the case of a 25-year-old Lilburn woman who was shot and killed Tuesday morning in the area of Five Forks Trickum Road and Rockbridge Road in Stone Mountain, according to Gwinnett County police.

The victim, Avery Birthrong, was murdered by Visheslav Feder, 29, of Lilburn, according to police.

Feder was arrested Saturday in Johnson County, Arkansas by Arkansas State Police. He was stopped while driving along Interstate 40, but his intended destination is unknown, according to police. Feder remains in custody in Arkansas at this time and is charged with three counts of aggravated assault and one count of felony murder.

Birthrong was shot and killed while in a vehicle with two men. The driver drove away from the scene after the shooting and stopped at a gas station at the intersection of Hugh Howell Road and Lilburn Stone Mountain Road and called police.

DeKalb Police responded at approximately 4:20 a.m. and contacted Gwinnett Police when it was discovered where the shooting occurred. Police are speaking to witnesses to determine the cause of this incident. The driver of the vehicle the victim was in is cooperating with detectives.

Gwinnett Police responded to the call shortly before 5 a.m., meeting with DeKalb Police at the intersection of Hugh Howell Road and Lilburn Stone Mountain Road. The initial investigation revealed that the shooting originally occurred in the area of Five Forks Trickum Road and Rockbridge Road.
