A Lilburn man has been arrested after threatening his ex-girlfriend and pointing an assault rifle at police during a standoff, police say.

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — A Lilburn man has been arrested after threatening his ex-girlfriend and reportedly pointing an assault rifle at police during a standoff at his home Monday, according to the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office.
Alan Bryce Tybor is being held in the Gwinnett County Jail pending charges from Gwinnett County related to the standoff. He will then be transferred to Morgan County to face charges there.
On Sunday evening, deputies with the Morgan County Sheriff's Office responded to a Rutledge home because of reported threats being made. Deputies were told that Tybor had sent threatening text messages to his estranged girlfriend and mother of his children. These messages included specific threats against law enforcement officers, should they get involved in the case. Based on the deputies' investigation, an arrest warrant charging Tybor with felony terroristic threats and acts was issued.

On Monday, The Morgan County Sheriff's Office began a fugitive investigation to attempt to locate Tybor before any threats against the victim or law enforcement officers could be carried out. At about 7:45 p.m. deputies of the Gwinnett County's Sheriff's Office, assisted by Morgan County investigators, attempted to serve the arrest warrant on Tybor at a home on Mandalay Court in Lilburn. When deputies arrived, Tybor pointed an assault-type rifle at the deputies through the window and told them he wasn't coming out, police said. The Gwinnett County Police Department SWAT team secured the perimeter of the home. After roughly an hour and a half, Tybor left the home peacefully and was taken into custody.
