Sign To Gwinnett's First Distillery Unveiled

LILBURN — Visitors looking for Hope Springs Distillery in downtown Lilburn will now have an easier time navigating their way. Representatives from the City of Lilburn, the Downtown Development Authority, and Hope Springs Distillery gathered in downtown Lilburn on Monday to unveil a new directional sign.

The sign, located at the corner of Main Street and Railroad Avenue, proudly directs visitors to Gwinnett’s first distillery. Owners Paul Allen and Betsey Dahlberg opened Hope Springs Distillery in downtown Lilburn in 2017. “When we first met with the city leaders several years ago, we were fully embraced and couldn’t have asked for better support,” said Dahlberg. “Lilburn has been very welcoming to us.” In addition to producing vodka, gin, and absinthe, the distillery offers tours and guests can visit the tasting room at their Railroad Avenue location. "Betsey and Paul have literally poured their hearts into this effort and we are proud that they call Lilburn home," said Mayor Johnny Crist.

Hope Springs Distillery is a great addition to the attractions in downtown Lilburn. Visitors are often seen having photos taken in front of the beautiful tunnel mural just down the street from the distillery, dining at 1910 Public House restaurant, or enjoying Lilburn City Park and the 4.2 mile Camp Creek Greenway. Downtown is also home to Agavero Cantina Parkside, the only double-decker bus restaurant in the county, and an antique shop listed among the Best of Gwinnett.
