Three Suspects Surrender After Robbery Attempt, SWAT Team Negotiations
In an unincorporated area between Norcross and Lilburn, police believe three male suspects tried to rob a man, who foiled the attack by resisting.
Twp men and one juvenile youth are now behind bars, following an attempted robbery and SWAT team activation in unincorporated Gwinnett County.
Gwinnett County police received a call about midnight on July 28 of the attempted robbery at 1355 Indian Trail Road, which is between Lilburn and Norcross.
The victim said that three males tried to rob him, and that when he resisted, they ran into a nearby apartment, according to a press release from Gwinnett County Police Department.

Uniformed officers tried to talk to the suspects and resolve the situation, but the suspects did not relent, the press release stated. Then, SWAT members were called.
Special negotiators addressed the suspects inside the apartment, and over the course of approximately 30 minutes police said all three suspects surrendered.

Police identified the suspects, each with most-recent addresses in Lilburn, as follows:
- George Hernandez, 20
- Mario Almaguer, 18
- Juvenile male suspect, 16
