Two Lilburn Students Receive National Merit College-Sponsored Scholarships
The National Merit Scholarship Corporation announced the winners on May 29.

Two Lilburn students learned this week that they are recipients of National Merit college-sponsored scholarships.
The students are:
- Kelly P. Croteau, a Parkview High graduating senior, who plans to study secondary education at Vanderbilt University
- Connor P. McDonald, a Parkview High graduating senior, who plans to study environmental science at the University of Georgia
About 20 Gwinnett County graduates received the award, which is financed by colleges and universities. There were 2,500 winners across the country,

The scholarships provide between $500 and $2,000 annually for up to four years of undergraduate study.
An additional group of scholars will be announced in July, which will bring the total number of college-sponsored Merit Scholarship recipients in the 2013 competition to 4,500.
