VIDEO: GA Cops Pull Borat Actor Over After Woman 'Tied' To Truck

"I'm guessing somebody is around here with a camera filming. The dude sitting in the truck looks like Borat," one Georgia officer said.

LILBURN, GA — Drivers in one Georgia city were left scratching their heads and doing double takes as the driver of a beat-up yellow pickup truck with a woman tied to the top of it recently passed them by without a care in the world.

The unusual sight ultimately prompted a suspicious vehicle call in Jan. 2020 to the Lilburn Police Department. During the traffic stop, Officers Alvey Lamb and Daniel Bride found Sacha Baron Cohen, the comedic actor known for his role as Borat, with his “daughter” strapped to a car seat on top of the cab.

“I don’t think she’d ride up there for very long. She’s not strapped in very good," one of the police officers is heard saying on body cam video.

Video of the encounter was posted to YouTube on Oct. 21, just two days before Cohen's latest Borat film was released. That user doesn’t appear to be associated with the Lilburn Police Department, so it’s unclear how the bodycam footage was obtained.

In the 13-minute video, viewers never get a perfect view of the actor in the driver's seat — only a mere side profile, which clearly shows Cohen in full "Borat character" during the entire traffic stop. Of course, it didn't take long for the two cops in the body camera video to figure out what was going on.

“I’m guessing somebody is around here with a camera filming. The dude sitting in the truck looks like Borat. He’s talking like Borat and all that other good stuff. Somebody is goofing off," one of the cops is heard saying.

In one part of the video, one of the officers takes Cohen's driver's license to examine it.

“Let me see his driver’s license? Is it real?” one officer responded.

"He says he's from Kazakhstan," the other officer replied.

“You know what this is don’t you? Dude, there’s a camera around here, and I’m not talking about the one on our chest," the other officer answered back. "I didn’t sign no waiver or nothing like that. I ain’t getting paid for it.”

In the end, Cohen was let go and allowed to continue with his shenanigans — which he is notoriously famous for in his Borat films.

A part of the video from that traffic stop actually appears in the trailer for Cohen's new film at the 0:48 mark.

"What is problem, Officer?" Cohen responds in full Borat character in the clip.

Cohen's Borat sequel was released on Amazon Prime Video on Oct. 23. The film is officially titled "Borat: Delivery of Prodigious Bribe to American Regime for make Benefit Once Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan." Try saying that three times fast.
