1 Cobb County Polling Location To Stay Open Late; No Major Issues
One Cobb County polling place, located in Powder Springs, will stay open just past 7 p.m. Jan. 5.

COBB COUNTY, GA — One polling place in Cobb County will stay open late Tuesday, according to a news release from the county Jan. 5.
A judge ordered the Powder Springs 1A precinct — located at the George E. Ford Center, 4181 Atlanta St., Powder Springs — to remain open until 7:10 p.m. because this precinct did not start voting until about 7:10 a.m. Tuesday morning, the release said. There was an issue getting the machines up and running on time.
There were no major issues reported in Cobb County as of 3:30 p.m.

Election workers will upload ballot results at the Cobb County elections headquarters on Whitlock Avenue in Marietta. It is not clear exactly when that will happen, the release said.
Workers are opening and scanning absentee ballots at the Jim R. Miller Park event center on Callaway Road. After tonight's work, elections workers will resume again at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6, per the release.
