Entering autos and thefts continue to be prevalent in the business areas along Barrett Parkway, Town Center Mall and Chastain Road, according to the Cobb County Police Department Precinct 1 PENS newsletter.
Most targeted areas include shopping complexes and restaurants along Barrett Parkway, Town Center Mall area and apartment complexes along George Busbee Parkway.
Overnight entering autos in residential neighborhoods indicated a decrease in thefts, according to the newsletter. Daytime residential burglaries showed a decrease for the month of December 2013. Theft by taking crimes showed a decrease in December 2013. Entering autos cases showed a decrease in December 2013.
Business burglaries showed an increase in December 2013.
