Georgia Weather Forecast: When Will It Freeze, When Will It Rain?
It will be a cold and soggy weekend in metro Atlanta, according to the National Weather Service.

ATLANTA, GA — It's going to freeze this weekend in metro Atlanta and it's going to rain. Fortunately for us all — particularly those planning on being out on the roads — the two are not expected to happen at the same time.
Temperatures are forecast to drop below freezing in north Georgia Friday night. The rain is expected to start Saturday evening and continue all day Sunday. But, by then, the temperature should have inched up enough that we don't have another frozen-roads nightmare in the area.
Friday night's low is predicted to be 27 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. But it should only get down to 37 on Saturday night, when an 80 percent chance of rain is expected to start around 1 a.m.

Sunday morning should be soggy, too, with a 90 percent chance of rain through about 1 p.m. dropping to about a 20 percent chance by Sunday night.
So, stay warm, stay dry and try not to think about the fact that Georgia's very own weather-predicting groundhog says that we're in for at least another six weeks of this mess.
