Marietta Eatery Nominated For Best New Restaurant In U.S.

A Marietta eatery has been nominated for the Best New Restaurant In the United States by Bon Appétit Magazine.

MARIETTA, GA -- A Cobb County eatery has made the list of Bon Appétit Magazine's 50 best new restaurants in America. Up against the likes of a chicken Parm–slinging sandwich shop, Texas barbecue goodness, and a new-school Jewish deli -- to name a few -- a farm-to-table joint on the Marietta Square has managed to make a name for itself.

Spring, located at 83 Church St. in Marietta, is being called a top-notch farm-to-table eatery that delivers that downhome Southern-feel-good food with a modern sensibility. Run by Kennesaw native Brian So (formerly of Sobban in Decatur), the eatery offers a refreshing culinary experience amid a simple setting. So, what's a menu fave? Well, the hearty eaters at Bon Appétit had this to say: "House-made butter and sourdough bread; chicken liver paté on toast with blueberry jam, pickled mustard seed, and raw pistachio —basically an advanced PB&J — and whatever produce-driven small plates are in season. Oh, and a beer from the restaurant’s drink menu, which features Georgian brews almost exclusively."
