Marietta Family's SUV Crashes, 8 Injured: Reports
Three family members were seriously injured in a Thursday accident in Florida, say media reports.

MARIETTA, GA — Eight people, including six children, from a Marietta family were injured Thursday in a traffic accident in Jacksonville, Fla., according to media reports. Three were treated for serious injuries, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The accident occurred at about 1:40 p.m. Thursday on westbound Butler Boulevard just before the Southside Boulevard overpass in Jacksonville, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.
A man driving a GMC Sierra pickup truck made an improper lane change and hit the rear of the Marietta family’s Cadillac Escalade. The pickup truck driver then over-corrected, sending the Sierra into a concrete barrier, the AJC said.

The force of the collision sent the Escalade into a light pole; it then rolled over, according to the Highway Patrol. Three passengers were ejected from the Escalade.
Sarai Martinez, 32, an 8-year-old child and a 9-year-old child were seriously injured, according to media reports. The Escalade's driver, Rosalio Duenas, 35, and four other children sustained minor injuries.

They were all taken to the University of Florida Health hospital in Jacksonville, the AJC reported.
The driver of the GMC Sierra, 21-year-old Sergio Flores of Aurora, Ill., was not injured, according to media reports. He was charged by the Highway Patrol with careless driving on a suspended, canceled or revoked license.
