Marietta Golfer Competing In Liberty Mutual Insurance Finals

The event is the culmination of the 2018 Golf Tournament Series that raised more than $9 million for local and national charities.

PINEHURST, NC -- A local golfer will be among 250 amateurs who will compete in the Liberty Mutual Insurance Invitational National Finals at Pinehurst Golf Resort in Pinehurst, North Carolina, April 3-7, 2019. Craig Hangartner of Marietta qualified for the national event by winning a local Liberty Mutual Insurance Invitational held at TGC at Sacconnesset in East Falmouth, Massachusetts, on June 19, 2018, which supported Wide Horizons for Children.

The Liberty Mutual Insurance Invitational National Finals is the culmination of a series of more than 70 charity golf tournaments around the country in 2018 hosted by Liberty Mutual and local and national charitable organizations that raised more than $9 million for charity.

“These foursomes were among more than 12,000 amateurs across the country who generously supported national and local charities by playing in the Liberty Mutual Insurance Invitational,” said Nicole Guidara, senior vice president and manager, enterprise brand and communications, Liberty Mutual Insurance. “We sincerely appreciate these players’ efforts and look forward to celebrating their invaluable contributions to their communities.”

Two-time U.S. Open Champion and World Golf Hall of Famer Curtis Strange, honorary chairman of the Liberty Mutual Insurance Invitational, will interact with players during the four-day tournament.

“I am proud and honored to be a part of the Liberty Mutual Insurance Invitational,” said Strange. “In just eight years, this annual tournament for amateurs has raised over $63 million for so many worthwhile charities and the people that they serve.”
