· A heart transplant only lasts on average 12 years
· Kids face a poor quality of life and secondary illnesses due to harsh immuno-therapies to combat organ rejection
· 25 percent of children will need another transplant within five years for a chance to survive
· Pediatric heart transplant research is vastly under-funded and Enduring Hearts is the only organization trying to help children who are alive today live longer
