Marietta Week Ahead Weather: Storms Will Subside

MARIETTA, GA — The weather for rest of the week will be quite different from Monday, according to the National Weather Service's forecast. Monday, we can expect to see storms before the afternoon with high wind gusts and potentially heavy rainfall.

Starting Tuesday, though, the forecast reads sunny and clear throughout the week. We'll see high temperatures ranging from 59 to 69 and lows dropping down to 40 on Wednesday night.

The National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather outlook lasting through Monday, warning of the possibility of potentially severe thunderstorms. The storms are expected to include strong gusts up to 35 miles per hour, which may knock power lines down.

Today: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 2pm, then a chance of showers. High near 69. South wind 10 to 15 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 49. West wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 63. West wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 41. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 57. West wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.

Wednesday Night: Clear, with a low around 40.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 66.

Thursday Night: Clear, with a low around 45.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 68.

Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 46.
