Marietta's Ivy Lane Wins 2020 National Retailer Excellence Award

The specialty boutique won one of seven awards recognizing retailers throughout the nation at the REA, which has run for nearly 70 years.

MARIETTA, GA — A northeast Marietta boutique won one of seven categories at the 2020 Retailer Excellence Awards.

Ivy Lane, a specialty boutique located on Sandy Plains Road in Marietta, won first place in the Socially Responsible category at the REAs, which is put on by the Gifts & Decorative Accessories Magazine every year for the last 69 years. The awards took place virtually on Aug. 6, 2020 due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The 7-year-old boutique sponsors a minimum of 20 charitable per year, including the annual spring fundraiser: the Sources of Strength fashion show.

“As we outline our our goals for 2021, we are energized more than ever to incorporate giving back to our community as a top initiative," said Julie Turner, owner of Ivy Lane, in the release. "Our annual Sources of Strength event will be back, with a fund raising goal of $20,000, supporting Cobb County students with suicide awareness and prevention knowledge."

The 2021 Sources of Strength fashion show is set to take place in April or May.
