New Roundabout At Post Oak Tritt And Hembree Opened In Cobb
A new roundabout in East Cobb is designed to improve traffic flow through the area, officials announced Monday.
COBB COUNTY, GA — A new roundabout at Post Oak Tritt and Hembree opened Monday in East Cobb, officials announced. The $1.5 million project is designed to improve traffic flow through the area and also includes enhanced lighting and brings sidewalks up to modern ADA standards, according to the Cobb Department of Transportation.
Spokesman Ross Cavitt said that traffic flow will continue as crews work on the center island. The roundabout will more than likely be open during non-work hours only.
The Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax, or SPLOST, projected a spring 2020 deadline, so the work is ahead of schedule, he said.
