Rape Case Dropped Against Teen
The 16-year-old will seek reinstatement to Marietta High, the Marietta Daily Journal reports.

Rape charges have been dropped against a former student accused of assaulting a fellow teen during a basketball game at in February.
told the Marietta Daily Journal he dropped the case against Chandler Brookins because he couldn’t prove the charges.
Brookins, now 16, was 15 when arrested him in March and in a Campbell bathroom Feb. 16.

The alleged attack took place while Brookins’ brother, Tyler, was playing his final basketball game for against Campbell.
Brookins has been out on $50,000 bond since spending about an hour in jail, and the case was moved to juvenile court during the summer, the MDJ reported.

Brookins was a freshman at Marietta High when he was arrested. The MDJ said he was expelled after his arrest and now will seek reinstatement to the school, where his father, Ron, is an administrator.
