Two people suffered serious injuries after a car crash on Sunday evening.
MARIETTA, GA – Two people suffered serious injuries after a car crash on Sunday evening.
On Sunday just before 7:30 p.m., Marietta police responded to a serious crash at the intersection of North Marietta Parkway and Cobb Parkway North.
According to police, Tyler Peacock, 28 of Marietta, was driving his 2000 Toyota 4Runner westbound on North Marietta Parkway approaching the intersection. Rhena McCormick, 56 of Marietta, was driving he 2016 Toyota Camry northbound on Cobb Park North approaching the intersection of North Marietta Parkway at the same time.

An investigation showed Peacock failed to stop at the red light, causing the two vehicles to crash in the intersection.
The force of the crash caused the 4Runner to overturn and Peacock, who was not wearing his seatbelt, was thrown from the car.

Both drivers were transported to WellStar Kennestone Hospital with Serious Injuries.
The crash remains under investigation. Charges are anticipated but have not yet been filed.
