Veterans Day Ceremony in Smyrna 11/11/2019 @ 11:00 (FREE EVENT)

Smyrna has a wonderful Veterans Day Ceremony every year to pay tribute to veterans of all wars. Meet, mingle, pay tribute and enjoy.

On Monday, November 11, 2019, at 11:00 am, Smyrna, Georgia holds its annual Veterans Day ceremony at Veterans Park, 2800 King Street, Smyrna, GA 30080. The event is a great way to meet, mingle with and thank local veterans from ages 18 to 98. The event and adjacent parking are free and open to all.

Veterans Day honors the valiant men and women of the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and Coast Guard, both past and present. It also commemorates the 75th anniversary of the World War II American drive across France, Belgium and Luxembourg, from Normandy to the Battle of the Bulge.

Featured speaker Lieutenant Colonel Will Cox is Smyrna resident and Deputy Commander of the 78th Aviation Troop Command, and patriotic music will be by the South Cobb High School chorus.
